How To Make Beef Teriyaki Noodles with homemade Teriyaki Sauce

Prepare the Teriyaki Marinade
â—‰ In a bowl or jug, combine the following ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sake or dry sherry
- 3 tablespoons mirin
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Marinate the Beef
â—‰ Add one-third of the marinade to the steak, stirring it together.
â—‰ Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if desired. Refrigerate if marinating for more than 30 minutes.

Cook the Noodles
â—‰ Drain the noodles, rinse under cold water, toss with one teaspoon of sesame oil, and set aside.

Transfer to a bowl
â—‰ Stir-fry the marinated steak for 2-3 minutes until nicely browned; transfer to a bowl.

Beef Teriyaki Noodles Recipe
A delightful culinary journey with our Quick Beef Teriyaki Noodles recipe. Thinly sliced sirloin steak is marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce, stir-fried with vibrant vegetables, and tossed with perfectly cooked egg noodles. This Asian-inspired dish is quick to prepare, taking just 30 minutes from start to finish.
Ingredients
- 500g sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 200g dried medium egg noodles
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
- 5 spring onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil (for noodles)
- Chili flakes and sesame seeds (for garnish)
Teriyaki Marinade:
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sake or dry sherry
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
Instructions
Prepare the Teriyaki Marinade:
- In a bowl or jug, combine light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sake, mirin, sesame oil, light brown sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, and white pepper. Mix well to create the teriyaki marinade.
Marinate the Beef:
- Slice the sirloin steak thinly against the grain.
- Add one-third of the teriyaki marinade to the steak, ensuring it's well-coated.
- Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes or longer in the refrigerator.
Cook the Noodles:
- Cook the dried egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Drain and rinse under cold water.
- Toss the noodles with 1 tsp of sesame oil and set aside.
Stir-fry the Beef and Vegetables:
- Heat 1 tbsp of sunflower oil in a wok over high heat.
- Stir-fry the marinated steak until nicely browned (2-3 minutes); transfer to a bowl.
- Add half a tablespoon of oil to the wok.
- Stir-fry sliced onion, carrot, and red pepper for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
Combine and Serve:
- Pour in the reserved teriyaki marinade, bringing it to a boil.
- Add the cooked noodles, tossing for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Introduce the beef and sliced spring onions, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Divide into bowls, garnish with chili flakes and sesame seeds.
