The Coconut curry salmon recipe is very Delicious and meld into a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce that is the perfect complement for this Thai-inspired fish. This salmon dish can be ready in 30 minutes.

A wonderful salmon specimen. A flavorful rub made with a combination of spices that are both salty and sweet. Simply put, the oven will cook it. A creamy, barely spicy, and extremely flavorful sauce was poured over the whole thing. The same issue exists with the white rice. The fried rice was a tad bland, and I think it needed more salt or spice (but never too much). Also, there was so much lime squeezing that everything became soggy.

This is an easy way to impress your dining companions.  It’s a pretty popular dish in Thai restaurants, so it’s nice to know how to make it at home.  Unlike traditional Pad Thai, this recipe tastes less greasy and has more of that authentic Thai flavor.  A definite do-over.

Chief tips:

  • It’s not difficult to pan-sear salmon, However, if you’re not careful, the cheese may stick to the pan when you try to flip it. Here are a few tips to avoid getting burned when cooking salmon: pat dry, ensure pan is hot and non-stick before adding the fish. Let it cook for as long so that juices can release naturally.
  • You can’t have this dish without adding some fish sauce. The flavor is just too heavy for something that tastes so salty.
  • Coconut milk is a staple in many cultures. It can be used as dairy replacement, for those who are lactose intolerant or allergic to cows’ milk; it offers an appealing creaminess that no other substitute has been able to replace! You really need our full fat Thai Kitchen brand if you want rich and creamy results (you’ll find my favorite aisle with the refrigerated section).
  • If you want it spicier, add some finely chopped fresh Thai chills or dried red pepper flakes.
  •  If you want it sweeter, add a bit of brown sugar.  I actually had red pepper flakes in my pantry, but decided this dish was perfect without any added heat.  However, some crushed red pepper or a Thai chili would up the spiciness factor a notch or two.
  • The only spicy element in this recipe is the cayenne powder.
  • I don’t know how much to use, so I just added a pinch. This dish didn’t have that much heat, but you can add more if you want it hotter or even replace some of the coconut milk with hot water or broth to ensure that you get a mild spiciness.

Does coconut curry taste like coconut?

Though Thai coconut curry sauce has a little more sweetness than other curries, it does not have an obvious coconut flavor. For additional flavor, the lime juice and spices counteract the coconut milk’s sweetness.

Can I use any coconut milk for curry?

If you don’t like the taste of coconut milk, try using soy or almond milks. Make sure to use an unsweetened version for a healthier alternative that won’t have so many added sugars.
